Arbusto sempreverde appartenente alla famiglia delle Phormiaceae. Portamento cespuglioso verticale. Raggiunge 1 mt di altezza. Foglie color bronzo scuro, nastriformi, erette e lineari. In estate produce fiori rosso-arancio. Predilige un terreno fertile e ben drenato.
